Reserving and Ordering Lamb:

We have lambs going to market in October and December2024, and spring of 2025. If you would like to have delicious pasture-raised lamb for your freezer, just let us know and we will reserve one for you with a down payment that will be applied to your final cost. We have whole and half lambs available.

The Next Step:

After the lambs are taken in for processing at Pinn Oak Ridge Farm, the butcher will notify us of the “hanging weight” on your lamb, and that is the weight that you will pay us for. The hanging weight can be approximately half the weight of the live weight. For example, if the lamb weighted 120 lbs, the hanging weight might be between 50 and 70 lbs carcass, and yield around 40 -50 lbs of meat after processing.

The cost to you is $5.00/lb. on the hanging weight. (Hanging weight on a whole lamb is generally around 40-60 lbs, give or take.) You make the payment directly to High Meadow Farm.
You will fill our a cut sheet to give, or for us to take to the butcher so that they can cut your lamb exactly as you would like it. We are happy to make suggestions if you are not familiar with your options. Pinn Oak Ridge Farm has many options for lamb cuts, sausage, and more.

Final Steps:

Lamb will be ready soon! You will be notified by the butcher when your meat is ready to be picked up. You will pay the butcher for the cost of processing and packaging your lamb when you pick it up. You can then pick your lamb up at Pinn Oak Ridge Farm in Delavan, or let us know and we might be able to pick it up for you and bring it to the farm for you to pick up.

We hope that you enjoy your High Meadow Lamb!
