Following are descriptions of our share options. For pricing, please visit the “Join Us” page.
During a Wisconsin growing season, a season typically begins with lighter salad greens and spring vegetables. As the season progresses, your box will be brimming with colorful veggies like sweet corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, melons and squash. Click HERE to see some examples of a weekly standard share of vegetables. Scroll down to the bottom of this page for a list of some of the veggies that we grow. Go to the “Join Us!” page for share details, pricing and sign-up.
Our shares are delivered weekly, for 20 weeks, with the exception of egg shares; they are delivered every-other week, for a total of 10 weeks. For more details and pricing, visit the “Join Us!” page.
Our Standard Share size is approximately equivalent to a heaping bushel of produce. This size is typically enough for a family of 4 or for smaller families that love their veggies. You will have a great selection of standard vegetables as well as some that you may not have tried before!
Small Share. This share option provides a smaller quantity of veggies for a couple or lighter veggie eaters. Small shares may not always have the same variety of produce as the standard and large shares.
This year, we have added a Extra- Large Share to our share sizes to accommodate larger families or those that like to do a little more preserving. The Large Size will be approximately 1 1/2 times the size of a Standard Share offering greater quantities of the weekly produce.
Egg Share members will receive 1 dozen eggs, every-other-week for a total of 10 dozen eggs over the CSA season. (EGG SHARES ARE SOLD OUT FOR SUMMER SEASON)
Starting in 2012, we are adding 2 bread share options:
- Bread & Treats share: $10/week, includes bread and treats that have a total retail value of $10 (examples: 1 loaf of bread + 6 cookies; 2 baguettes + 3 bars; 2 croissants + 4 donuts; etc.)
- Bread only share: $6/week, includes bread that has a total retail value of $6 (examples: 1 loaf of bread, 2 baguettes, 2 croissants, etc.)
Note: the bread in each week’s share will be the same in the Bread & Treats share and in the Bread share.
Partner Shares Program
This program, offered by the Madison Area CSA Coalition (MACSAC) provides financial assistance to families to ensure that they can receive healthy, nutritious, locally grown organic food through a CSA share while supporting farmers in southern Wisconsin. If you need financial assistance or if you would like to make a donation, visit the MACSAC website at www.macsac.org or call them at 608-236-0300 for more information.
This is a list of some of the staple vegetables that we grow. We are always adding new veggies to try. We also offer wild berry picks over the season for our members. Our wild crops are also certified organic.

What are the pickup days and times in Watertown, and where?
Posted by highmeadowfarmcsa on January 25, 2012 at 5:41 pm
Veggie pick up is on Tuesdays, from 4:30 -7:30. The boxes are delivered to Carriage Hill Drive, and we may be adding another at the Watertown Hospital.
Thanks for asking!

Do have have a Fall share that would deliver fall fruits and veggies
Posted by highmeadowfarmcsa on April 9, 2011 at 2:02 am
We are planning on offering a fall share. It will be a combination of fall vegetables and greens and storage-type vegetables. We will post that information a little later in the season.
Thanks for asking!

With the bread share what do you get every week? Is it a single loaf, or two, or does it depend on the week.

It always depends on what strike’s the master baker’s fancy! (And what is in season at the time.)
It could be a nice loaf of artisan bread, a baguette and some cookies, foccacia with roasted heirloom tomatoes or any other amazing baked item that Shawn creates that week. It is all good. Very, very good!

Hello,
We are planning on starting deliveries around the first week in June, but weather can influence the start date, too. The bread shares will begin with the first vegetable delivery and continue for 20 weeks.

I am interested in the bread share. How many weeks does the bread share run, 20 weeks? When does it begin?

Very interesting information but how many small share boxes do you provide over a full year (52 weeks)? Thanks.

Good question! Thanks for pointing that out. Our shares run for 20 weeks. They typically begin in june, but sometimes the season allows us to begin around the end of May. After they start, they run for 20 weeks.
